The company produces E-newsletters covering industry developments, and provides education and training certification to businesses and their personnel.

Most Virgo print magazines serve as a platform to create communities through the integration of publishing, events and the web.

Based in Phoenix Arizona, Virgo Publishing was founded in 1986 to serve the business-to-business market. The company was acquired by Seaport Capital in December 2004, and in February 2008 Seaport sold the company to private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners. The deal was believed to be valued at about $100 million and was brokered by media investment firm DeSilva + Phillips. Virgo had 2007 revenues of about $50 million.
