Time Warner Inc.
Jeff Bewkes is the CEO of Time Warner Inc.. Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) is one of the world's largest media companies -- a giant, publicly owned corporation with interests in publishing, telecommunications, film, television and the Internet.
Time Warner was formed in 1990 by the merger of Time Inc. and Warner Communications. The merger was billed as a joining of "old media" (publishing) and "new media" (television, movies and music).
In 1996, Time Warner acquired Ted Turner's Turner Broadcasting System, including Cable News Network (CNN).
In 2000, America Online (AOL) merged with Time Warner and the company became AOL Time Warner Inc.. This merger is widely regarded as the crowning disaster of the Internet investment mania at the end of the 20th century. In 2003, the merged company reported an annual loss of almost $100 billion. This was the largest loss ever recorded in corporate history at the time, and $45 billion of it was attributed to the declining value of AOL. In 2004, AOL was dropped from the company name.
In March of 2004 the Company sold its recorded music and music publishing business to a private investor group led by Edgar Bronfman, becoming Warner Music.
Time Warner had revenues of $43.65 billion in 2005. Media SubsidiariesNational Media Properties

Eric Kallgren Boulder, Colorado USA | Posted at 12:03pm on Friday, May 29th, 2009 | On May 28, 2009, Time Warner announced its plan to spin off AOL into a separate company:
NEW YORK – Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized management to proceed with plans for the complete legal and structural separation of AOL from Time Warner. Following the proposed transaction, AOL would be an independent, publicly traded company.
Time Warner Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bewkes said: “We believe that a separation will be the best outcome for both Time Warner and AOL. The separation will be another critical step in the reshaping of Time Warner that we started at the beginning of last year, enabling us to focus to an even greater degree on our core content businesses. The separation will also provide both companies with greater operational and strategic flexibility. We believe AOL will then have a better opportunity to achieve its full potential as a leading independent Internet company.”
After the proposed separation is complete, AOL will compete as a standalone company – focused on growing its Web brands and services, which currently reach more than 107 million domestic unique visitors a month, as well as its advertising business, which operates the leading online display network that reaches more than 91% of the domestic online audience. AOL will also continue to operate one of the largest Internet access subscription services in the U.S.
AOL Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tim Armstrong said: “This will be a great opportunity for AOL, our employees and our partners. Becoming a standalone public company positions AOL to strengthen its core businesses, deliver new and innovative products and services, and enhance our strategic options. We play in a very competitive landscape and will be using our new status to retain and attract top talent. Although we have a tremendous amount of work to do, we have a global brand, a committed team of people, and a passion for the future of the Web.”
Today, Time Warner owns 95% of AOL, and Google holds the remaining 5%. As part of a prior arrangement, Time Warner expects to purchase Google’s 5% stake in AOL in the third quarter of 2009.

Donald Graham and Bo Jones have covered up everything to this point but on Monday Post reporter John Kelly'd videotaped deposition will be made public It is going to trial in DC Superior Court in early 2009. The Washington Post conspired with its advertiser Angie's List and two Post employees, John Poole and John Kelly and used inside connections to commit tortious acts to illegally aid its advertiser and employee, Poole who was having a dispute with a DC Contractor. Post reporter John Kelly was forced into a court ordered videotaped deposition which will be made public on you tube on Monday December 8th, The lawsuit counts include, Libel, tortious interference and conspiracy, This lawsuit will test the limits of Freedom of Speech and freedom of the press in the Internet age and is very important to every American Citizen. To read the lawsuit log onto washingtonpostgotsued.com and serch You Tube under the key words Washington Post and Angie's List to view Kellys deposition. It will shock you when you see it and the Washington Post will never be the same in the eyes of theose who listen to Kelly tell the world how the Post does business

Hilda M> Lea Jamestown, NC | Posted at 6:01pm on Sunday, October 26th, 2008 | Your local NBC station coming thru Time Warner has started a frequent time in which as a program is in progress it will suddenly interrupted a program in progress with a comercial, lately Toyota cars. The most recend anoying instant was Saturday Night yesteday when Saturnay Night Live at 11:30 was going to have the very popular Brittish band Coldplay. I stayed up until 11:30 hoping to hear my favorite bandk, who evidently was hired to perform three songs. Towards the end of the program it seemed to me that the program time kept getting smaller and smaller when a toyota car would appear on the screen and a long comercial would come on. Towards the end of the program the host announced that Coldplay would play a third and last song, when they showed the band, and then a toyota car came up and a comercial for toyota came on, and that was the end of the program, We never got to hear the end of the program. This has been happening very often in other programs during the day and evening. Is this a local practice, since the toyota is to be bought locally? sok, NBC doesn't mind if you butcher programs like that? My subdivision has a contract with Time Warner so I can't switch to another source, like Dish, or Direct TV. I moved here from Florida, where I had Dish Network because they are very respectful of their clients who enjoy uncut television.

Jesha Miller Evansville In. 47713 | Posted at 12:44pm on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 | 2-9-2008 Re: Demand Coverage Attn. Jeff Bewkes CEO
I, Jesha Miller, am initiating the Impeachment procedure to Impeach President Bush & the media refuses to give coverage. The Petition will be successful because the Constitution requires the Presidents Impeachment under Article II, section 3 of the Constitution for aiding & abetting a criminal from justice & refusing to enforce the law under Title 18, section 243. The Petition is on Capital Hill awaiting the Speaker Nancy Pelosi to take it to the Floor but she violates the code of conduct by refuseing to process the Petition, evading the issue. The President covers corruption in the U.S. Supreme Court who are in violation of dereliction of duty, denying the right to freedom & 10 million in reparations for the illegal restraint. This is the biggest news story of the year & I'm demanding coverage using Constitutional Right # 925 which enables every citizen at any time to bring the government & any person in authority to the bar of public opinion by any just criticism. I have a letter in writing from President Bush refusing the Bill of Rights which no just government can refuse. The U.S. Supreme Court denies the right to freedom, justice & equality on account of race, color, & national origin. This is media bias refusing to give coverage & I will bring suit if I'm not contacted for a Press conference by 2-12-2008.

Norma Fares Lebanon | Posted at 2:59pm on Monday, December 10th, 2007 | Remember, the source of Islamism resides in the Heart of Arab World. Protecting your borders is a must. What if giant Media INC. like Warner/Time (and many others around the civilized Globe) work on winning the heart-mind of the Arabic Audience/readers in the Arab World instead of the respective dictatorial regimes (that own most of Media i.e. KSA). Now we cannot but to assure that the Arab Regimes win the war. In addition to some Arabic TV Satellite i.e. Sheikh Qirawi on Al-Jazeera, the Arabic national/local TV i.e. Bahrain, KSA...naturally coexist with hatred messages that would incite (directly or indirectly) to violence i.e. "how you beat your wife" was the topic on the Bahraini TV.
Conclusion: Reflecting the real image of a society is a must. Real image is a Truth. Ths is from one side. From the other side a constructive storm/revolution for messages of goodness is most needed to invade the Arabic Media that would shake the Arabic society= Arabic society in an insightful and EFFECTIVE manners.
Cleaning the world from hatred i.e. Islamism...spreading the spirit of goodness and enhacing societies is one of the TOP media responsibilities. Fighting terror i.e. Islamism that became one of our global threats after 11/9 requires --URGENTLY-- the reunion of global Media round a noble Cause: Saving Humanity.
