Doug Manoni is the CEO of SourceMedia, Inc..

SourceMedia was formed in 2004 when the Thomson Corporation sold Thomson Media, its business publishing division, to Investcorp, an investment holding company. The company was renamed Source Media in 2005.

SourceMedia Enters the Education Business

-- minOnline, the web site of Media Industry Newsletter (MIN) Magazine, reported on September 24, 2010:

"With the formation of a new professional training practice, financial information publisher SourceMedia gets into the education business this week. The publishers of
Accounting Today announced that the professional training business will be integrated closely with the publisher’s existing suite of magazines, Web and event content. The focus will be on virtual education.

Leading the new division will be Robert Gulick, SVP and managing director Education & Training. Gulick has worked on training services for American Management Association and Prentice Hall.

SourceMedia says this entry into education helps expand the portfolio beyond financial and business information and events."

In January 2010, Doug Manoni replaced James Malkin as the CEO of Source Media. Manoni was previously the CEO of Wicks Business Information, which was bought by Summit Business Media in July 2007.
