Who owns Parade Magazine? No, I mean it. Who really owns it? Today's issue was nothing more than plenteous political propoganda about Perry's political possiblities and his perfect partner.

Update your parade website. I tried to view the article by Kerry Fried "Where the wild ponies swim" and it's not there.

February 13, 2009: WWD reported that the CEO of Parade Publications in stepping down:

"Walter Anderson, chairman and chief executive officer of Parade Publications, is retiring. Anderson, 64, has spent 31 years at Parade, where, during his tenure, circulation for the paper increased to 33 million from 21.6 million. Parade is now carried in 470 newspapers. Anderson was also responsible for attracting a stable of top writers to the publication, including David Halberstam, Norman Mailer, Gail Sheehy and James Brady.

“Walter has played a major role in Parade being one of the most successful publications in the company while publishing books, writing plays and being an active public servant,” said Condé Nast chairman S.I. Newhouse Jr. “We will miss him tremendously but wish him all the best in what I’m sure will be a very fulfilling retirement.” Anderson joined Parade as a senior editor in 1977, became editor in chief in 1979, and chairman and ceo in 2000. He will stay with the company until his replacement is named."

I quote from PARADE page 21 (1/6/08 issue) -- " we still have 11 months to go before we pick a leader". Although this was stated as fact in your January 6th issue, it is not true - do the math -- election day (November 4th) is ACTUALLY slightly LESS than TEN months away not eleven months from Jan 6th. Please correct your misstatement as believe me ten more months of campaigning will be more than enough -- we certainly don't need an extra month of campaigning that your magazine added. Also, please have your fact checkers work on their basic arithmetic skills. Thanks!
