On July 1, 2010 I awoke to no service in my home. At about 1000 i walked outside and noticed that there was a comcast truck parked across the street working on the line. I asked the gentlemen who was there working "what was wrong with the service?" he looked at me and said that the service would be on shortly. I proceeded to walk back in the house and noticed that nothing was on. It would not be until 1800 that my wife would come home and we would then have to drive out of the community to get cell phone coverage to then spend an hour and forty minutes with customer service to be guaranteed that someone would be out to fix our service that evening. We arrived back at home 2100 and noticed no one had come. So we slept and waited yet again all day and no one arrived on Friday July 2, 2010. My wife then proceeded to call and wait an additional 50 minutes on the way home from work and was told that nothing had been documented and that no one was scheduled to come that night and fix the problem. So we were lied to about that. Around 1000 on July 3 a comcast member came out to the house and knocked and we explained the problem he then walked out to the line and noticed our line was never hooked back up and that there was not a disconnect order placed. So due to the negligance of a contractor coming out and not completing his job i was left without service at all for 3 days. After the contractor left I then proceeded to call comcast customer support only to be told that all i can be offered in compensation was compensation for the days I was without service. Normally I would not have a problem with that if it was only television and internet but it was also telephone I was without. And that was my issue my wife has cancer and the reason we chose comcast was because we needed a reliable form of communication for family and emergency services. So I proceeded to tell the lady from customer service that the least I wanted was one month compensation. But was told that since my bill was 129 dollars that I would in no way get that. So I asked to speak to her supervisor and before she gave me the same song and dance about "im sorry sir about your problem and that I will send it to the financial department to be overlooked" I explained to her my situation and she said that none of it was documented at all and that she understood and she want as far as to say she understands where i am coming from. She then said that due to it being explained to her that she would add all the extinuating details into her report and we would be contacted about the situation. I began to thank her for listening and hoped that we would be able to save this money so we could pay the cellphone bill and have money for other things. Well fastforward to July 10,2010 another Saturday and I havent heard anything from comcast. My wife was laying in bed and wanted to watch on demand and noticed it did not work.(error CL-14). I took it upon myself again to call comcast to not only figure out what was wrong but to ask about our previous issue. I was told then that I had not been approved and that nothing was ever said about the "extinuating circumstances". That according to them it was just service not on for three days and all they could offer was 17 dollars for days without service. But she could offer an additional 20 dollars for a customer guarantee and thats it. Now the question I pose to you is how will that even compensate for the driving out of the community to get a signal, the hour and forty plus the additional 50 minutes of waiting on the cellphone, the lies and the whole not feeling safe just in case something happens that we cant get emergency service just in case we need it. Will 37 dollars really compensate it. And why cant I get someone to listen and fix this problem I just want to be treated fairly. Is that so much to ask.

I would like to coment on Skip Carry. I know hwe comes from a family of sportscasters but he horrid. Do you listen to anything you put on the air, I think not. Try the tonight, as usual, how to put this, he makes an ass out of himself. He doesnt know anything and hes in the first chair. Poor Joe, you can hear the annoyance in his voice every night with Skip saying the wrong things, asking Joe stupid questions and it goes on. Where is John and Tom. When they are on weather it be you or Peachtree TV do an much better job of calling the game. They are informed, they know the game and have fun doing it. I really wish you would do something, put out a ballot and let the other viewers give you there opinion also. I hope this reaches someone who will atleast listen to the game and draw there own conclusion. Please

Do you own sportsouth ? My family and I are watching the Braves game 6 /10/10 when at 8:45 a commercial ( late night liars)came on with puppets and the girl puppet said she's not doing another porn unless she's paid than she said that only sluts do porn. is this a joke ? If it is its not funny. You sit down with your family ( 10 year old and a 12 year old ) to watch a game and spend some family time and garbage like this comes on. If you think this is appropriate, well that's just sad. If you continue to air that garbage we will no longer watch.

I and my Husband Mose have been with comcast for over ten years but when i had my services disconnected they continued to charge me monthly fee and my services was not even on. After i called them it took time for them to correct it but at the same time they turned it into collection and had the nerves to charge me a collection fee. i feel they should be paying me for all the time and effort i put in to fix the errors i made. it just seems as if they just had to get something out of me because every thing they charged me they had to fix it. But to charge me $25 because they messed up is not right. I'm gonna pay the money but just know this is not how you do business and your company will continue to loose good customers due to the way they are treated. Sometimes people don't even pay there bills so for me to have to go through all this when all i am trying to do is pay what i owe comcast is crazy. I would have stayed with comcast if i was not treated so bad. I just wanted the bill out of my ex-husbands name and into mine but they gave me such a hard time til disconnecting the services was the only thing i could do and then starting new services in my name. Its just a bad situation and i hope comcast gets it together for the sake of business but success will never be great if you don't treat your buyers right and thats a fact! If you would like to look at the months of crap i had to deal with my account# 1s 8777701040175397. Tell what you think:)

Comcast is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They plainly care nothing about giving good service - only about making as much money as possible, having control over the internet and thinking up new schemes to bilk American citizens out of their hard earned money. I blame the CEO and the rest of the Roberts family of "privileged" miscreants for using all their energy to secure a monolpoly on cable without the slightest thought as to the quality of the product they are hawking. Boycots won't work and we shouldn't have to deprive ourselves of cable information in order to force The Roberts family into running a good company. What is needed is for this monolpoly to be broken up into a thousand little pieces like they did to AT&T years ago. There is NO competition in my area - we are forced to use this crappy company or go without. I wish FIOS or Google internet was available here - or ANYTHING other than Comcast! They completely suck!

Comcast has put a limit of 250gigs usage per month, per household. This is absurd, they are now double dipping for the sake of GREED. You have to pay for how fast you surf the net and now how much you use.

Are you seriously expecting us to pay per box per tv that we have in our home? I am already paying too high a price and the majority of the channels offered in my area are of no interest to me nor will they ever be.
