CMP Media LLC was a subsidiary of British company United Business Media plc (UBM). UBM sold some of these assets and reorganized others in early 2008. As a result, CMP Media no longer exists. Today UBM refers to the former CMP businesses as either "UBM Technology" or "United Business Media LLC."
CMP Media was one the leading technology publishers in the world, publishing a wide range of specialized computer and technology magazines.
The company produced web sites offering Internet versions of its print publications and portals such as ChannelWeb. CMP also offered services such as events and forums, hardware and software testing, custom research and consulting, mailing lists and custom publishing.
Company revenue was reported at $796.5 million in 2003.

i got a check for 4,000 and i am not sure what it was for but I took it to my bank and of course it was a fake cashiers check. how lovely are these people, they spam your email and have thosand and thousand of emails come in a day and ruin your life, these people are wonderful.. just flag them. they dont like that they cant get in.. | |

Yup=Got one in September 27th 2010 in a UPS envelope. It was supposedly shipped by someone named James Peter. Has anyone been told where this is coming from with regard to the CMP Media LLC Address on the checks? | |

i guess im not the only one that has received this bogus checks. i received a 3850.00 check thi s morning.9-25-2010.wow. a few moths a go i had received one for 3000.00 tellin me to dend it out of the country thru western union. these people are trying to wash money if u nask me!! | |
