For the last couple of weeks, I have tried in vain to enter your $10k Holiday Shopping Sweeps.
I really don't know to contact reguarding this matter. Maybe you can help me or advise me.
Each time I click on the submit entry to type in the word, nothing pops up. You or your staff needs to try it for yourselves to see what I mean. Thank you, Marie

Imagine this scenario: You go to an ob/gyn because you have a suspicious finding on a mammogram. Added to that hell, you come home one day to find a copy of American Baby magazine in your mailbox - with an enclosed invoice, of course. I've filed a complaint with the FTC.

This magazine is sent solely based on a visit to a physician's office? This happened once before, and I did track down the culprit, but cannot recall how the magazine is notified. Doesn't matter - it is wrong, and damaging.

I am certain that many women are sent the magazine who will never want to, nor be able to reproduce.

Moreover, it confirms my growing sense that there are no specialist doctors for women. There are baby doctors and surgeons.

EHE International Joins Forces With the Imus Ranch for Kids With Cancer

--Holiday Display to Launch December 6 at Rockefeller Plaza Designed by Meredith Corporation

-- December 6, 2010 -- The Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer will come to New York courtesy of The Meredith Corporation, in an EHE International window display at Rockefeller Plaza for the month of December. The western cattle ranch, that has hosted over a thousand kids suffering from cancer and other serious blood disorders, will be featured in a display designed for the holidays by Meredith's chief design team. Cowboy boots, hats, saddles and lassoes complete with a Cactus Christmas tree will be prominently featured to replicate the actual Ranch in New Mexico and give the public a reminder to donate to the cause.

The window, located at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, will be on display for the public from December 6th, 2010 until January 3rd, 2011.

"EHE International is pleased to offer the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer this window in order to raise awareness of the life-changing Imus Ranch that helps so many kids each year," said Deborah McKeever, EHE International President.

The objectives of the Ranch are to encourage a sense of achievement, responsibility and self-esteem, and to instill pride and restore dignity to these children as they become aware of just how much they are able to accomplish. Many have become convinced that because they are sick they are not normal. At the Imus Ranch they quickly discover that they can do anything any other kid can do.

I just don’t know where to begin. First of all this is a Senior Community and some of us are receiving “American Baby Magazine”. How ridiculous is that! Never subscribed and don’t want it. Trying to send an email on the website is a challenge and many errors. I am writing to you requesting this delivery stop immediately. I will contact Editors, Assistant Editors, Marketing groups and Meredith National Media Group down the line. I will post on twitter and all the websites that I can expose this unconscionable delivery.
I will notify the media such as Sarah Wallace Eyewitness News on ABC Network and all the other networks. Also CBS where your Executive Editor, Laura Kalehoff, has appeared on a segment. Contact all the newspapers and will not stop until this comes to a resolution because now I am on a mission. How in the world do seniors get Baby Magazines who never ordered it? The magazine label has the wrong initials on the name and using my address. This is a privacy issue for me and the other seniors.
I might be a senior but I am pretty resourceful and contact anyone and everyone on this dilemma. Perhaps it is your Media Group, Meredith National, who are responsible but in any case this will stop. I have read already such complaints that seniors are receiving this magazine on the internet. It seems to be a common problem. Is it that the numbers are pumped up showing subscribers? Or is it that the media group is desperate to sell the magazine? Regardless, let’s stop this now.

Meredith Titles Celebrate 100,000 Facebook Fan Milestones

-- minOnline, the web site of Media Industry Newsletter (MIN) Magazine, reported on October 14, 2010:

"Fitness magazine tells minonline that its Facebook page passed the 100,000 fan milestone on Tuesday. As of Wednesday evening, the branded page on the social network boasted 101,882 friends. This represents a 20% increase in the Facebook fan base in just three weeks. But Fitness is not alone among Meredith Corporation titles to vault into the 100,000 fan club. Parents magazine now has 114,399 friends. Better Homes and Gardens has 102,258.

According to Meredith, the social networking success is based on driving to the Facebook page print and online brand loyalists who may not have known the titles had a Facebook presence. Making the Facebook experience exclusive and unique to its core fans is one of the approaches the magazines take. The Facebook pages of the respective titles often host previews of content not yet at the main sites or they offer Facebook-only contests, workouts and recipes."
