I once subscribed to a Rodale magazine a few years back and I continue to get unwanted books in the mail. I even send back the "NO THANKS" postcard but the books come yearly ( in December) since 2008! I never ordered any books from this unethical company! Thanks to those who posted a phone # to call.

I was suppose to get a gift for ordering from you and I got your envelope but not the gift. On the outside the envelope it read-Your free gift enclosed- but I didn't get one. I would like to get my gift. Thank you.

There must be some way to put these people out of business. I sent them a check for $9.00 and they posted $7.00 and a check for $19.95 and they posted $9.00 now they are saying I owe them more money even I paid in full. I can prove what I sent but shouldnt have to go through that hassle from hell. I am going to register a complaint with everyone I know!

They do not make it easy to get a refund for books that they claim to be free for 21 days.

I finally declared the Publisher the winner. I could never get a real person on the line to discuss the inaccurate billing. I was turned over to a collection agency even though I wrote a detailed account of why I did not owe the $11.99 that just kept growing. Copies of my letter to Better Business Bureau and my Arkansas Congressman. Shame on Rodale!

Rodale Integrates Mountain Bike Into Bicycling Magazine

-- October 20, 2010 -- Rodale Inc. today announced today that Mountain Bike magazine – a six times per year supplement to Bicycling magazine – will now be integrated into Bicycling, the world’s largest cycling magazine. The pages of Bicycling magazine will now include more mountain biking content, while Bicycling.com will offer a dedicated channel to Mountain Bike.

"Integrating Mountain Bike into Bicycling makes strategic sense editorially," said Peter Flax, Editor-in-chief of Bicycling. "This will allow our top-notch team to focus on extending Bicycling's position as the world’s leading cycling magazine and to put all of our biking-related content under one roof.”

Under the direction of Bicycling editor-in-chief Peter Flax, all mountain biking content will now be led by Lou Mazzante, former Mountain Bike editor-in-chief. Prior to Rodale, Mazzante served as the editor of Bike magazine, and executive editor and managing editor of Bicycle Retailer and Industry News.

Chris Lambiase, who was recently promoted to SVP / Publishing Director for Rodale’s Sports titles, will continue to lead all print and digital advertising sales and marketing efforts for Bicycling. Under Lambiase’s leadership, Bicycling is up in advertising paging through the November issue, fueled by the rising popularity of the sport and a growing audience of active, affluent readers.

The November 2010 issue of Mountain Bike – on newsstands now – serves as the final publication.

Rodale Settles Subscription Suit with Florida

-- The Palm Beach Post reported on October 19, 2010:

"The Attorney General's Economic Crimes Division began investigating Rodale when consumers complained that they were receiving books they had not ordered or were billed for products never ordered or not received. The investigation revealed that Rodale offered free trials of its books and magazines and billed consumers if they did not return the books or cancel the magazine subscriptions, and then enrolled the same consumers in automatic renewals of magazines or automatically shipped books to them, allegedly without specific consent from consumers.

As part of the settlement, refunds will be offered to Florida consumers who were enrolled in a trial offer, automatic renewal or automatic shipment plan online through third party advertisers who had contracts with Rodale to sell Rodale's products."

Christian Louboutin u6y

Posted at 6:49am on Sunday, September 19, 2010

After a week of fashion shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, there are few trends that stand out, among them: pale tones and sexy Christian Louboutin Shoes.
These open-toed booties from Nicole Miller's Spring 2011 collection are a good example of spring's pale palette.
After four seasons of subdued shopping by luxury buyers, looks for spring were dominated by white, nude and other neutral colors, which gave the clothes on the runway a softer, lighter look.
It was a real shift from recent shows, where designers had picked darker colors that seemed to reflect the gloomy mood of the economy.
This trend even extended to the fingertips with a peachy-nude-putty-colored nail polish worn by models in the Marc Jacob show and a manicure of beige polish, with a thin coral arc applied by celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi at Prabal Gurung's runway show.
Overall, many of the looks for spring were uncomplicated and versatile, which should help these clothes make the transition from the runway to the stores as retail buyers remain selective in their purchases.
What was wild? The Christian Louboutin Shoes-both on and off the runway. (You have to see for yourself. Look at our slideshow.)
It stands to reason. Consumers can only shop their closets for so long. Eventually, they have to start buying again, but they will look for pieces that will work with what they already own (hence the neutrals) and that will make a fresh new statement (cue the shoes.)

DROP RODALE SUBSCRIPTIONS. I've spent multiple hours calling, emailing, and writing Rodale about a collection threat for Runner's World. First they said I owed for my subscription. When I proved it was paid, now they say I owe $21.99 for a Runner's World calendar they sent as a "free gift" along with my subscription renewal. From reading the comments, I'm not the only one experiencing problems. They are threatening collection. It's now a matter of principal. Not only am I fighting this, but dropping my Woman's Health, Prevention, & Runner's World subscriptions based on their sleazy tactics.

I had the same problem with the Runners World Calendar. How can they keep harassing me with email about ruining my credit? I didn't order it and I will not pay for it. If anyone takes legal action, post in here. I want to join!

Rodale is scamming and defrauding people. They auto-renwed my Runner's World subscription after I cancelled it, then sent me threatening mail claiming it was an "early warning notice" for me to pay up or be turned over to a collection agency!!!! I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Everyone should file a complaint as well so they can not continue these gorilla marketing tactics!

I too have received a book from Rodale under one of those "free" preview however I was away at school and just got home and now have to deal with it. This companies policy is complete BS and I will be spreading this around. I am a big fan of Runners World but this company sucks like none other. I have to call monday to try to get this resolved without paying for it.

After doing a little research on the web I was able to come up with the following contact info for the company. I plan to send them each an email / call with my disgust for their marketing practices and overall conduct. I encourage others to do the same.
